Lotus Temple,Delhi


This famous Temple is in Kalkaji,19 kms from Delhi Airport.You can only visit here from 1st April to 30th September(9:00AM to 7:00PM) & 1st October to 31st March(9:00AM to 5:30PM) except Monday.Entry here is free.It is all surrounded by Greenry.

It is '1' of '7' Wai Temple.Its other Temple are in Australia,Panama,Samoa,Thailand,Uganda,Germany,America.It is spread in 26 acres.About 8 crore people visit here anually.It is 34.27m high & 70m in length.It has total 27 petals.It was completed in 1976.There are 9 doors for entry.

The interesting thing about this Temple is that it does not have any Sculpture of God.It is 'Indias first Temple'  that makes its own electricity from Solar Panels.At once 2400 people can go inside the Temple.
